Latimer Park
In Baldwyn, Little League baseball draws visitors from throughout the state into Baldwyn’s Latimer Park. With five fields ready ¬†for play, baseball ushers Baldwyn into the summer. Tennis courts, basketball courts, playground equipment, and a walking track are also available in Latimer Park. The park is home to the Baldwyn Bearcat Football Stadium as well. Bay Springs Recreational Area

Bay Springs Lake located in Prentiss county, provides a variety of recreational opportunities including fishing, boating, swimming and water skiing. Numerous other facilities such as campgrounds, beaches, picnic areas, overlook and a marina are provided for the enjoyment of our visitors. For more information, stop by our Visitor Center in the Resource office located on the east side of Bay Springs Lake – about one mile from Bay Springs Lake or call (662) 454-3481.


Piney Grove Campground is the only Corps of Engineer operated campground on this section of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. It is located on the west side of BaySpring Lake within the Piney Grove Recreation Area. The Campground is operated from the beginning of March through the end of October each year. It contains 139 Class A campsites with water and electrical service. Three restrooms with shower facilities, a laundry building, a fish cleaning station, a sanitary sewage dump station, playground facilities and fishing piers are also available. A gate attendant is provided to collect fees and provide security. Pine Grove Campground can be reached by calling 662-728-1134.

Camping is offered at the Bay Springs Marina at their Whippoomwill Campground, which contains thirteen campsites and two small cabins with water and electrical service, For information on these camping facilities call the Bay Spring Marina at (662) 728-2449.

Tombigbee State Park

Tombigbee State Park, located in Tupelo, Mississippi, is under the management of Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. This facility includes a lodge meeting room, seven air-conditioned cabins, 2 air-conditioned dormitories, 20 RV sites, primitive camping area, picnic facilities and nature trail, Cabin and lodge meeting room rental rates available upon request. Call 662-842-7669 for more information. The Elvis Presley Lake and Campground is a scenic park named in honor of Tupelo’s most famous son. Located five miles north of the Elvis Presley Birthplace, the 850-acre facility is popular with campers, boaters, water skiers and fishermen.

An all terrain bicycle trail, nature and hiking trails and volleyball courts are also available. Boat launching fees and camping fees are charged. The facility is managed by the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Entrance fees are $3/adults (16 & over); under 16 free. Senior citizen rates available, Boat launching fee is $6 and camping fees are $9/night for primitive and $13/night for full service (senior citizens $10). Open all year.
